AT&T and its subsidiaries provide domestic and international long-distance, regional, and local communications services, cable (broadband) television and Internet communications services. It also provides directory and calling card services to support its communications business. AT&T’s primary business groupings are AT&T Business Services and AT&T Consumer Services. As planned, AT&T had spun off its wireless and broadband services by 2002. In July 2004 the company moved its focus away from traditional consumer market, focusing instead on its business markets and VoIP. In January 2005 SBC commenced proceedings to acquire AT&T.
