Synopsis

Hewlett-Packard Company (HP) designs, manufactures and services electronic products and systems for computing and communication used in industry, business, engineering, science and education. Besides the electronics industry, the principal markets for HP instruments and systems are the telecommunications, aerospace/defence, automotive, consumer electronics, computer industries, and scientific-research programs. In May 2002, the company merged with Compaq, forming the new Hewlett-Packard. This report details the activities of HP prior to that merger.
