Synopsis

As part of the transaction, Mitel will also transfer its Ottawa, Canada real estate to Dr. In February 2001, Mitel sold its communications business and the Mitel name, retaining only the semiconductor business. The new name for the semiconductor business, which remains a listed company, was to be announced in early 2001. Mitel Communications is now privately owned, and has been renamed Mitel Networks.
