Synopsis

New World Telephone Group is the telecommunications arm of Hong Kong conglomerate New World Development Co. The Group includes: New World Telephone, a fixed-line facilities-based provider of local and international voice and data services, broadband IP networking and Internet access; and New World Mobility, a GSM1800 mobile PCS operator. In October 2001, the Group sold its e-business company, New World CyberBase, after transferring its Data Centres over to New World Telephone. The integrated services of both companies are marketed as the Power of One. Since October 2001, New World Development Co has been looking for partners to invest in the NWT Group.
