Synopsis

PLDT is the largest telecommunications company in the Philippines, providing fixed-line, mobile, satellite, Internet and broadcasting services. Its GSM mobile operator, Smart, which has absorbed mobile operator Piltel into its structure, is the clear local market leader. Its satellite operations include the Agila II VSAT and the ACeS mobile communications satellites. Its Internet related services include Philippines largest IDC and ISP. Its two call centres serve customers in the US, Australia and other countries. Its broadcasting interests comprise one of the Philippines largest cable TV operators.
