Synopsis

This report reviews and analyses the first year in office of the company’s CEO, Sol Trujillo. His reign began with a grand vision and a set of excellent strategies. However, soon after he revealed these he withdrew them, citing what he saw as a lack of regulatory certainty. This has produced another year of delays in new innovative services and fair competition – and, on top of that, the company has lost 30% of its value. So we have no option but to fail him for his first year in office. Will he do better next year? The report clearly identifies where the opportunities are, and what he needs to do to tap into them. I still believe he is bluffing and that he will now execute some of the options mentioned in this report.
