Synopsis
UnitedGlobalCom is a provider of multi-channel television and related telecommunication services outside the United States, and has ownership and management interests in systems operating in 26 countries. The Company conducts most of its business through three regional operating units in Europe, Asia/Pacific and Latin America. These units are supported by their own programming and technology groups. All of UnitedGlobalCom’s operations are held through its 99.5% held subsidiary UGC Holdings. At the end of 2001, the company expressed grave concern at its financial position in all of its operating areas, and expressed doubt about whether UGC Holdings could continue to operate.Related Reports
